An Introduction -

I always knew that I wanted to create content. Ever since I was a child I had this passion, albeit unrefined, to connect with other people. Whether it was through sports, theater, video games, or social media platforms, one thing that I knew for sure was that whatever I did it would be in the pursuit of human connection.

Fast forward to March of 2020. The NBA shuts down, March Madness shuts down, and all hell breaks lose. Within the span of weeks, I went from a job that kept me out of the state every other week to unemployed and unable to leave my house. A year that started with marrying the love of my life turned into an extroverts worst nightmare: quarantine.

Thankfully, this little blue bird created an escape for me by the name of "Astros Twitter." Never in a million years did I think it possible to find genuine human connection through 280 characters or less. Yet, as I type this I am reminded daily of those people that have welcomed me into their family. After many meet-ups, nights yelling at the Astros, and tweets about how Altuve didn't cheat, I realized that I wanted to take this to the next level.

I am beyond excited to share this monthly newsletter (along with other content on the website) with the world. Whether you are a local Houstonian who has been cheering for the Astros your entire life, someone who lives in another part of the world who just so happened to find us, or a fan of another team, welcome to the ATN.
